Fortnite taps Ferrari for its first licensed car

Ferrari, the 80-year-old company that makes luxury cars probably more expensive than your entire house, is teaming up with Fortnite for a first-of-its-kind crossover. Based on some official teasers from both the Fortnite and Ferrari Twitter accounts, it looks like players will be able to drive the 296 GTB model of Ferrari in-game starting tomorrow.

Here is a real life Ferrari 296 GTB if you want to see what you are driving. The real car has tons of stats I can’t begin to understand, like the turbocharged V6 engine and 818 horsepower electric motor. What I do know is that the 296 GTB was announced earlier this year, and starts at around $330,000. If you can only afford your home WiFi, check out Ferrari’s car configurator to see how many bells and whistles you can put on it. 296 GTB is due to expire in 2022.

The latest Fortnite skin makes it a little more interesting than, well, this is the first time Fortnite has ever crossover with a brand that isn’t a movie, a comic book, another videogame brand, or a celebrity like Bugha, Neymar. Is. Jr., or LeBron James.
