Ford Mustang Mach-E Police Car Now an Option in the UK

I’ve noticed that over the past year several new electric vehicle models have been marketed for use as emergency services vehicles. It seems that the combination of better EV technology (more range, more model variety, better technology) and stronger and stronger requirements from governments to cut emissions has led automakers to their new models as police cars and other emergency services vehicles. Worked hard to provide. . One that I have to admit, I didn’t see it coming: a police version of the Ford Mustang Mach-E.

The Mustang Mach-E has a lot more style and character, and police vehicles tend to be more generic, softer, mass-market models (or the occasional Tesla). Nonetheless, more police officers in the UK may soon be walking around in style thanks to the Police Mustang Mach-A – Red calipers and calls.

An example police version of the vehicle was displayed at the Emergency Services Show last week. Interestingly, Ford indicates that the offering is actually a matter of abundant customer inquiries, not what Ford is trying to fore change in the world. UK police forces were reportedly inquiring about buying an electric crossover.

It’s all well and good to claim that customers are asking for fresh new models, but can you really name Ford? …

OU can?

Apparently, the Metropolitan Police Force as well as the police forces of Sussex, Surrey, South Wales, Dyfed Powys, Devon and Cornwall and Police Scotland are awaiting a full trial of the Electric Mustang Mach-E.

“The initial concept is a demonstrator Mustang Mach-E standard range AWD (all-wheel drive). With this model under test, Ford plans to offer an extended range version of its RWD (rear-wheel drive) and AWD versions. Extended battery types will give police even greater range, and therefore versatility and capability for police operations,” Ford writes.

“Quick and super-quick acceleration – the new Mach-E is capable of 0-62mph and 111mph in 3.7 seconds (GT version) – would be a useful weapon for any police car against crime, while the all-electric Mach-E would forces one of the most economical and eco-friendly cars in their fleet.”

The Safeguard SVP was in charge of converting the Mustang Mach-E into a police vehicle. This is clearly what SafeGuard SVP does – with electric vehicles or otherwise. “Safeguard SVP was established specifically to meet the increasingly sophisticated and complex requirements of Blue Light Fleets and the transportation needs of Emergency Services. ISO 9001 Accredited ‘One Stop Shop’ facility, managed by experienced and dedicated staff, Offers a complete package service, from vehicle requirement to the supply of a completely ‘ready to use’ vehicle.”

Will we see an electric Ford Mustang Mach-S on the streets of London, Sussex, Cornwall or Scotland in 2022? Something like this will happen! Of course, the mix of Ford Mustang Mach-E, Tesla Model 3 and Hyundai Kona EV police vehicles will be an even cooler sight. Oh yes, and what about the upcoming Cybertruck! Well, it appears that still won’t be on the market for a while.
